Sunday Sunshine and the Smile
Sunday Fundays in Columbus, Ohio were a blast. Most afternoons I would grab my swimsuit and meet Kim (Sometimes Alyce too) but this day it was just us two. We were two single ladies deciding that this would be a summer to remember because it would be about us. We both had found contentment in our singleness. It was PERFECT. Well...
Go back one day... On Saturday we had also spent the day at the pool. What can I say the joy of single life .. no responsibility but to rest and rejuvinate for the week. It had been about four hours of sun and I was done. I went ahead and called it a day. Kim decided to stay. A chair at this pool was hard to come by so with my exit, two boys came up behind us. I offered my chair politely even though there wasn't two available ones in our area. Well this boy ended up being AJ.
AJ and Kim Hit it off that day! They have been inseperable ever since, except for China!
The next Day.. (back to Sunday Funday)
Kim told me that she had met AJ and he would be coming to the pool
GREAT KIM ruin the girl time. Who would have thought months later I would thank her for bringing AJ to the pool that day...
Well AJ or No AJ, I was single and living it up. Aj arrived with his roomate Ryan and they introduced themselves. At the time I was being entertained by some random guy who didn't get the picture that I wasn't interested. I said a few things to Ryan and AJ. I don't know how we found out about K-State and Penn State RA similiarity...did you ask that ry? Well...that said I wasn't interested. No guy this good looking was worth talking to. He would end up being full of himself and waste my time. I fell asleep. Literally!
A few weeks went by and Kim's birthday was coming up! We planned a girls night with dinner at Matt the Millers and drinks! We went to "a hole in the wall bar" (Caitlin Burkhart --literally a HOLE :)
This bar was Kim's favorite, she knew the bartender etc.
Well AJ and a few friends showed up at the bar. Surprise! Ryan walked in and I had remembered him ...kinda. Didn't remember his name. Can't help it...i fell asleep!
Still his cute self, this time I was interested. I just decided he would be fun to talk to,who knows where it would go. Well after a while I found myself VERY interested in him. Kim and I did what all girls do and went to the bathroom. Well come to find out Ryan knew I was going to be there. He hadn't forgotten my name or who I was.
Kim showed me text messages with Ryan asking AJ about me and meeting up at the Bar. I was flattered. Well we hung out the whole night. Hit up the jutebox and chilled.
Should I Leave out the whiskey shot ry?? :) We will skip that part... but it was cute!
After the bar we went back to Kim's place. Everyone was hanging out. Gabe took Ryan and I over to his place where we decided to go Swimming and hangout.
We snuck into the closed pool at the quarry and talked the night away. Turned out we had so much in common and found ourselves asking every question possible to know more and more about each other. Loved that night.
It all started there!
